Ceramica laconica

Ceramica a figure nere prodotta in Laconia (la regione amministrata da Sparta nel sud del Peloponneso) tra VII e VI sec. a.C. Si tratta per lo più di coppe decorate internamente da complesse scene figurate, esportate in maniera più consistente in aree ove la presenza o l’influsso culturale di Sparta appare più forte: l’emporio greco di Nàucrati in Egitto, la dorica Cirène, Taranto (fondata, quest’ultima, alla fine dell’VIII sec. a.C. da coloni spartani).
